Lifelong Learning & Classes

The Birchip Neighbourhood House provides lifelong learning opportunities and classes to support and develop the personal skills, knowledge, abilities and health and well being of community members through formal and informal pathways in education, employment and self-development.

A wide range of exercise classes, social sports competitions, hobby classes, vocational courses and general interest classes are organised annually and as they are requested by community members, employers or organisations. However, some programs like book club are ongoing so contact the house to find out more.

Classes include, but are not limited to:

  • Computers, Internet and iPad

  • Boat licenses

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol

  • Water aerobics

  • Workplace First Aid and CPR updates

  • Cooking classes

  • Drawing classes

  • Book club

  • Farm chemical users course

  • Active ageing

  • Art and culture

If you have any training needs contact the Neighbourhood House staff and they will arrange a class for you or help to connect to another training provider or Neighbourhood House in the area.

Exercise classes including circuit training, body bar, high impact classes, low impact classes, Oz Tai Chi and a range of others are offered through Birchip Lifestyle & Fitness which can be found on Facebook
