Educational needs are well provided for initially at the Birchip and District Preschool and then the Birchip P-12 School , a prep to Year 12 State School, with excellent facilities and dedicated teaching and support staff. It was awarded best in the State 1997 and best in the Wimmera/Mallee 1998.

The Birchip Business and Learning Centre offers a range of training opportunitues for adult learners.  A new range of programs are organised every term to suit learners wanting to improve their skills for their personal development, to improve their work opportunities or to become involved as a volunteer.  Courses range from ten week exercise programs to accredited courses.
