The Birchip Neighbourhood House advocates for fair and equitable opportunities so everyone in our community can enjoy healthy, safe and happy lives. They are actively supported by the Birchip Safe and Well Committee, made up of community leaders and representatives from the local sporting clubs.

Loneliness and Social Isolation
Loneliness and social isolation are leading causes of poor mental health in our communities. Birchip Neighbourhood House aims to combat this important issue by providing inclusive social and recreational activities and events to bring together the whole community or groups of like minded people so they can have fun, connect, share information, knowledge, skills and life experiences.
Gender Equity
Birchip Neighbourhood House are a member of the Buloke Well Being & Equity Network and are a leader in the community for gender equity. This includes supporting females in leadership roles, educating the community about the benefits and importance of gender equity and promoting the participation of girls and women in a range of diverse, meaningful and interesting activities. The Birchip Neighbourhood House has been actively supporting and promoting the 16 Days of Activism Campaign since 2018.
Digital Literacy
The Birchip Neighbourhood House supports vulnerable community members, including older people and those with limited digital technology skills or resources to connect with family and friends, to accesses services and to conduct business, so no-one gets left behind.
Diversity and Inclusion
The Birchip Neighbourhood House provides information, promotes awareness and supports the community to encourage, respect and appreciate everyone’s differences, in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, education, and national origin.
