Frances Joy Lee

Frances Joy Driscoll was born at Maryborough on 19th February 1946, the first of six siblings (Raymond, Lester, Helen, Peter, Tony) for parents Jack and Shirley. 

The family moved from Navarre to Curyo in 1950 where she attended primary school. Frances attended High School at Birchip, until age 15 years when she relocated to Melbourne to study hairdressing. Following 12 months of training, Frances returned to Birchip at 16 to take over the local hairdressing salon. 

Frances married William Edwin (Eddie) Lee at the Birchip Uniting Church in September 1965 after which they made their home at Lochlee, Tchum Lake and where they remained until Frances’s passing. 

Frances and Eddie had 5 children, Chris in 66, Simone in 67, Andrew in 69, Katrina in 73 and Robbie in 1975 and they were grandparents to 14.

In 1986, Frances along with 3 friends Bev Ryan, Janet Connelly and Ronda Cooper re-entered the business world by taking on the challenge of continuing the Just U Casuals business which they continued for 24 years. 

Family was an enormous part of Frances life as was sport and community. She enjoyed Bridge, travel, cooking and gardening.
