Birchip Flower Show
23 Oct 2009
The Birchip campus of the Friends of East Wimmera Health Services are holding their annual Flower Show at the Birchip Public hall on Friday 23 October.
This year's flower show has some new and exciting sections; the Make, Bake and Grow section is especially designed for secondary school students. Students are encouraged to enter their creations in the Make, Bake and Grow section where they're required to display three different items - one made, one baked and one grown.
The classic $10 two-course luncheon and afternoon tea will be provided, and a sausage sizzle for children will be available. There will also be a fashion parade by Just You Casuals at one-thirty and lots of cakes, produce, sweets and lucky stalls to visit.
The committee welcomes Mrs. Katie Bales as the new secretary of the association, who has taken over from Francis Brooks who held the position for many years.
All the details about each section are available from local Birchip businesses from this week. Entries for all sections, except the new photography section, need to be submitted to the Birchip hall by 9am show day.
