Australia Day Breakfast

Birchip Australia Day Breakfast
Australia Day is an opportunity to come together with friends and family in the community to recognise and celebrate what is great about Australia and what it means to be an Australian.
January 26 marks the day that Captain Arthur Phillip and the First Fleet of eleven convict ships from Great Britain arrived at Sydney Cove in 1788. However, it was not until 1994 that Australia day become a national holiday and all Australians united in celebration of such a wonderful country.
Birchip Community Forum will hold an Australia Day breakfast in the Birchip Memorial Park and become one of over 780 community functions now being held on Australia Day.
The annual Australia Day Breakfast on Tuesday January 26th will be served from 7:30 until 8:45 am. Following breakfast and the National Anthem, guest speaker Senior Constable Roberta Barry will ignite our sense of national pride.
The new luscious lawn installed in the Birchip Park and Cumming Avenue median strip by Birchip Forum, and many local volunteers, will provide a beautiful green backdrop for the day.
The Birchip community encourages everyone to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and participate in the festivities.
