Birchip Connect

Birchip Connect aims to link people and organisations together to encourage communication, foster mutually beneficial relationships and nurture and celebrate success.

The saying “As fit as a Mallee Bull” is universally accepted as embodying the characteristics of strength, determination and resilience which is synonymous with the Birchip Community. In recent years population decline and ‘brain drain’ have become an issue for rural communities but Birchip has continued to “Buck the trend”

Birchip is a flourishing community with strong connections locally and globally and we want to build on these connections to help us grow and prosper.

Birchip Connect hosts a bi-annual cocktail style function in Melbourne to bring past and present community members and their friends together to expand their connections and in the alternate years they host a Career Information Day at the Birchip P-12 School with ex-students presenting to the current students about their inspirational career journeys and life stories.  Birchip Connect is also pursuing a mentor program.

Giving Fund

Our wonderful town benefits greatly from the generosity of the community and its current and past residents.  The Birchip Connect program has the capacity to accept Tax Deductible gifts to help preserve and develop the services and facilities available in the community, and to bridge the gap between local fundraising and government grants.

You can support Birchip Connect financially through the Giving Program by making an annual, weekly or a one-off donation of your, or your organisations choosing, or through a bequest.

The giving campaign is administered through two existing programs:

Birchip P-12 School Building Fund (DGR Status administered by Birchip P-12 School Council). Contact Russell Christie at the Birchip P-12 School 5492 2287

Birchip Community Trust (Tax Concession Charity status and locally administered by Birchip Forum and the Birchip Neighbourhood House) Contact Simone Christie 0429 922735.
